Here are some of the exciting Polar expeditions that are launching from the United Kingdom over the 2006-2008 seasons and supported by the Polar Quest team.

2006/07
South
Polar Quest Ambassador Ben Saunders leading an unsupported return expedition to the South Pole from the Weddell Sea, via Berkner Island.
Royal Air Force Southern Reach
The RAF has never previously attempted to reach the South Pole overland before. Between November 2006 and January 2007, Warrant Officer Alan Sylvester will lead a team of RAF personnel will travel on foot, hauling sleds to the South Pole.
The Oxford University Greenland 2006 Expedition
Four Oxford students are heading to the remote eastern mountain ranges of Greenland in August 2006, with the intent to explore an untouched part of the Gronau Nunatakker mountain range on the edge of the ice cap, before embarking on a 100km ski-trek across Knud Rasmussen Land.
Extreme South
Three medical students from St George's Hospital in south west London, will be setting off from the head of the Beardmore Glacier to the South Pole and then using kites continue to Hercules Inlet.

2007/08
The Journey South Expedition
Alex Hibbert sets out out to be the youngest man in history to ski from the Antarctic coast at Hercules Inlet to the Geographic South Pole with no outside assistance of any kind, pulling all required equipment behind in specially designed sleds.
180 Degree Expedition
Rob Gaunlett and James Hooper plan to travel from the North to South Pole using manpower alone, which will entail a journey of over 17,000 mils over the Arctic ice, Americas and Antarctica.
