 Phase One (Ph1)
Ph1 is to be through a written aplication (Download Application Form below). Application Forms are to be with the Expedition Leader by 31 Jan 05. Ph1 complete - 208 applications received.
Phase Two (Ph2)
Those shortlisted to attend Ph2 which is to be held at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines will be notified and should return the Attendance Form (Download Attendance Return below) to the Expedition Leader by 15 Feb 05. A range of carefully constructed team and individual exercises, each conducted under demanding controlled conditions will enable an independent Assessment Board to make an informed assessment of the candidates suitability for the expedition. Phase Three (Ph3)
Those that are selected as suitable to undertake either North or South Pole treks will be forwarded to the Naval Manning Offices and Chain of Command in order to obtain agreement for them to be released to undertake the treks.

Phase One (Ph1)
Following assemblies by the Expedition Leader, Captain Sean Chapple, written applications will be invited from students in Years 9 – 12 (Downloadable Application Form below) which must be signed by the applicants Parent/Carer. Parents/Carers should read the Parents/Carers Introduction Letter which can be downloaded below. Application Forms are to be with Mr Davis by 20 Apr 05.
Phase Two (Ph2)
Ph2 is to be held at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines on the 30 Apr 05 and those short listed to attend will be invited to complete a range of carefully constructed team and individual exercises, each conducted under controlled conditions to enable an independent and informed decision of the students suitability for the expedition. Prior to this parents/carers of those short listed must attend a briefing by Capt Chapple and Mr Davis on the 26 Apr 05 at ECC.

Phase Three (Ph3)
Those that are selected to join the Polar Watch Expedition will be announced through a Press Conference held at ECC shortly after the event.

Phase One (Ph1)

Phase Two (Ph2)
Ten applicants will be selected to attend the selection weekend on 29 April 2005 at CTCRM Lymstone. Joining instructions will be sent to successful applicants. Ph2 Complete - More Info

On completion of this weekend, 2 cadets will be selected for the expedition which includes a reserve.
